The first issue of Grit City introduces a a unique take on story telling. Throughout the story, illustrations have been placed to attempt to enhance the readers experience. They allow the reader to better connect with what the character is feeling in the scene. Being my first experience with this style, I wasn't sure what to expect. I enjoyed it more than a graphic novel. It allowed me to still envision my own scene, but just added a little extra. The story itself was interesting. It is short and being a serial, it ends in a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading more.
